Volunteers are the backbone of the New Hope Resource Center. Currently our biggest volunteer needs include-
- Hosts: These volunteers greet clients and provide a warm, welcoming environment when they arrive for their appointments. These volunteers also answer the telephone and add client contact information to our waiting list. Daytime and evening shifts available; very basic computer skills required.
- Personal Essentials Pantry/Fulfillment: These volunteers fill client requests for items such as soap, razors, cleaning products, etc, as well as make copies of client paperwork. Some physical activity, including lifting up to 15 lbs, is required. Daytime shifts available.
- Care Counselors: These volunteers meet one-on-one with clients of the Resource Center and provide spiritual as well as practical guidance. Daytime and evening shifts available.
- Budget Counselors: These volunteers meet one-on-one with clients to provide focused budgeting guidance. Daytime and evening shifts available.
Training is provided, and we ask for a commitment of at least twice per month. We also have other volunteer needs, as well as needs for in-kind donations (small groups will often collect items for our Personal Essentials Pantry).
Is God tugging at your heart about any of these options? Or has God planted a dream in you that we haven’t even thought of yet? Contact us and let us know!
